Build your own Trench gun PART 2!!!
The reason for the slick sleeves is so that it doesn’t try to pull the sleeves of your shirt up as bad.
If the snaps break you could send it into Filson for repair
Probably a fake man. That liner and cut do not match any Filson I’ve run across. I guess it could be a modified version or one off. It just seems off. If the stitching looks incorrect then its more than likely a fake. Super easy to cut a tag from another item and stick it on that liner and sow it in some random old wool jacket.
Gorgeous
Off the coast of Australia ?? thats like saying america is off the coast of Africa hhahahahahah
He was joking ahah
God damn the chik chuk sound is so satisfying.
how are the bagpipes
leave the bottom button undone
good video
Definitely fake. Filson USED to be top quality, they didn’t go from shit quality to good quality, in fact it’s been the opposite. Colour design everything is god awful on that.
Not just a weird era for the company. You can find it in there catalogue
I think thats actually a packer designed for the women section but they use mens sizing. I found one once for $200 US.
-Uses trench shotgun -gets called out cheating -refuses to elaborate further -leaves Chad american soldier.
I always style my trucker jackets with the bottom button undone when the rest is done up. It’s a style that originates from England where men riding horses and wearing waistcoats would leave the bottom button undone so it doesn’t ride up their torso when on horseback. It transfers to modern day use though with driving/sitting. Hope it helps a little.
I do the same when wearing this jacket.

Dam bro. Lean into it
You need to: 1) clean, condition and wax them more often, 2) use a false tongue to prevent lace cuts into your shoe. Optinal: protect the toe more with Tuff Toe or so.
I’ll buy this from you today!
I really want this thing but they make it impossible! Wacky sizing, waxing, they are not warm, they bleed onto light colors, cost.
sounds like you made up your mind. move on!
🤟🏽💯
My Pennsylvania tuxedo is 100% wool, made between 1947-1959.
I have a pair of these, used them for riding horses for years, usually in training. They were my all time favourite riding boot I ever used, although I don't ride as much but I still have them and bring them out from time to time. I bought mine over 10 years ago as "seconds" from the company who makes them. I think there was a small scratch on them or something but they are awesome once you break them in. They are way more flexible than any other riding boot. Amazing that a design from over 100 years ago beats the new stuff!
How do you get a pair? Were you RCMP?
@@Themapleleaforever just reach out to Alberta Boot Company. They sell to the public
Отдача на удивление небольшая... Как-то мягко все. Наверно очень приятно стрелять из этой пушки😊
Did you go true to your sneaker size, or did you go down a whole size?
Thank you for this video. You are right there are not a lot of videos about this jacket
Is the oil ok for Barbour jackets too?
I had a couple tins of wax that hardened. I put a custard cup of water in the microwave and brought it to boil. Cracked the wax lid, the heat radiates through the metal can. Take your custard dish off the heat, first!
Is this ax for training? Is it for competition use?
As far as I have learned, the sizing went to letters around 2002/2003. My recently purchased vintage double Mackinaw is from 1999 and has a numbered size.
Do shot guns shot sub sonic?
I love shotgu n
Trying to do my packer coat and the tins of wax I have are so stiff you cannot spread them. Do they get old and hard after a few years? How about warming the coat up to about 100°F before starting? I can't even scoop any wax out of the tin and it's a freshly opened tin.
This RW damn durable ❤
What replacement laces do I need for.my pair ? Can't seem to find them
Is it true to size? Been hearing people say go half size down. Idk always had thorogoods.
I always come back to these 2412's Just wear everything else out too early, White's Danners don't last I'm on rock ballast and all kinds of garbage on the railroad daily 24/7 365 and nothing but this specific model holds up kinda weird
That isn't a "recent move they made" regarding the straight sewn upper opposed to the round one. The eight inch moc has always had the straight line. The six inch has always had the round. These boots were created in 1950's and have never changed since their inception. Aside from being originally called Irish setters.
Hi Cameron, thanks for making the video. I live in Chicago and I am new to Filson brand and ordered couple of jackets for first time on Black Friday sale. My experience was similar, in that, the sizing on these jackets is all over the place. I ended up returning both jackets. Luckily, for me, I happen to live in one of the States in the US that has a Filson retail store. I ended up going to the Filson store and physically trying on each of the coats and then making my decision. The good news that I have is that you will find a size in a particular jacket that may work for you, but you will have to try on the different sizes to get the right fit. Cheers!
I got a pair 2nd hand my fit exactly with the steel toe. Heavy boot but it will save your toes and feet in the outback.
Him not slam firing feels like a sin
Only boots I’ve worn for the last 15 years . I’m a contractor , specialize in framing mostly but sometimes siding and roofing is part of the gig . Obviously roofing is tougher on the boots but I figure even if I go through a pair a year it works out to $1 (usd )/day I always keep 2 spare pairs just in case .
Like to find some old ones
Excellent guns
Only in Canadá do they give you free boots.
I really enjoy your content! I love and im interested in old world craftsmanship! I’m a boot guy that likes my nice boots and work wear! To hear and see the history of brands like Filson, and redwing, tricouni spikes, very informative and not many places to get info or back history of these products and brands! Keep it up your channel is amazing
You take wax. And a heat gun. Soak as much wax into it as you can. And go hit the timber.
Have my great grandfather's model 12, serial number said it was made in 1928👍
Thank you for the video! Helpful
Gorgeous tractor. Be a shame to go get 'er dirty. Be a bigger shame not to............
Thank for your video. I've totally in between a L and an XL and am thinking about keeping the XL. As for the sitting and bunching, unbuttoning that bottom button is key. It spreads the jacket when seated, flattening everything out - mostly. I also think it depends on the amount of flexion when in the seated position. When on horseback, for example, the position is much more upright and potentially less bunchy. But when seating in a car, the angle made by the torso and legs is much more acute, accentuated by leaning for the steering wheel. The Large is a perfect fit. Too perfect I think. If was all about style, I suppose I'd keep the Large. But, if I want to layer a little and I maybe account for some of the jacket shrinkage I've heard about, the XL might be the way to go.
Thanks for your review mate I’m 5.11” for 235, will need xxl for shoulder but it will look really wide on waist so I guess I’ll give up buying it You saved me the hassle to send it back
Not laced right. Thats 07:30 tomorrow morning
